Approach to Teaching:
I see learning as an individual and communal process of transformation. As an educator-practitioner, I am both a facilitator of that transformation and part of the community that is transformed. I enable transformative learning in my courses by explicitly valuing students’ diverse experiences, by embedding the classroom within the community, and by engaging students in critically-reflexive processes that model professional standards of practice.
Courses:
- HUNU 560 – Leadership in Dietetics and Health
- HUNU 573 – Population and Public Health Dietetics
- FNH 480/HUNU 580 – Professional Dietetic Practice II
- MND Practice Education Placement Courses: HUNU 579, HUNU 582
- 2017 & 2018: FNH 341 – Applications of Food Theory
