Sessional Lecturer (Term) Positions

UBC Land and Food Systems is accepting applications for the confirmed, scheduled courses listed below. All courses available to Sessional Lecturers are listed, but please note that courses may have returning Sessional Lecturers, Adjunct Professors, or Clinical Faculty. Appointment Process

Electronic applications may be submitted to the Faculty c/o Melanie Train (HR Manager-Faculty) at melanie.train@ubc.ca

Current members of the LFS Sessional Pool should include:

  • Cover letter noting availability and desired course/s.
  • Current CV including relevant educational background, and evidence of teaching excellence.

New Sessional Lecturers should include:

  • Cover letter noting availability and desired course/s.
  • Current CV including relevant educational background, and evidence of teaching excellence.
  • Names and full contact information of three referees able to speak to applicant’s teaching qualifications.

Note: Graduate students applying to teach should be aware of UBC Policy 75 and Faculty of Graduate Studies requirements: Graduate Studies Procedures – Permission to Teach. Applications should include a completed and signed Request for Permission to Teach Form PTT.
