Employer Information
Employers may propose a practicum project for students through the Applied Biology Practicum (APBI 496) or the LFS Career Development Practicum (LFS 496).
These practicums provide an opportunity for students to gain practical experience in their field of study or interest, while earning course credit. Employers whose business is food-systems related are welcome to propose a project that would support their business goals, and they are expected to provide on-site mentorship essential to the students’ career development.
Guidance will be provided to the students from both employers and faculty members.
Credit value:
Students will earn a maximum of 6 credits from their practicum, either as one 6-credit option or two 3-credit projects.
