Founder of Libra Nutrition (2007–present)

Registered Dietitian, Dietitians of Canada and College of Dietitians (2010–present)

Canadian Diabetes Educator (2023–present)

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the health of Canadians for 16 years through her exemplary work in food and nutrition as a registered dietitian and educator.

Amy Yiu, founder of Libra Nutrition and recognized as one of the Top 10 Dietitians in North America in 2023, supports individuals to adopt healthier lifestyles and is a tireless public advocate for nutritional wellbeing.

Amy’s entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen are evident in her close collaborations with the medical community, pharmaceutical suppliers, chefs, food scientists, and retailers. These partnerships have significantly advanced our understanding of nutritional health.

We also celebrate her commitment to continuing education and community service with this honour. Amy is a dedicated mentor, supporting over 200 UBC nutrition students, many of whom have become Registered Dietitians (RD) and medical doctors.

Amy was accompanied by LFS alumni Olivia Pan, BSc Food, Nutrition and Health, 2017 and Jessica Wu, BSc Food, Nutrition and Health (International Nutrition) 2013
