**Before you submit the application, please ensure that you have met the academic standing and course requirements as stated within the UBC Calendar.**
Meeting the minimum academic standing alone will not guarantee you will be accepted in to the minor. Please give careful thought to your academic plan as part of your application, as it is important to demonstrate you have thought your proposal through before submitting.
Please submit the completed form no later than March 31. Applicants will be notified of their admission decision from LFS Student Services by email in early June.
Students applying for a Minor in Arts can choose between selecting one of two options:
Of the upper-level credits required for the minor, a maximum of 6 credits can be double-counted towards the required courses or restricted elective requirements of the major. The remaining upper-level credits may be completed within unrestricted elective requirements (if possible with careful planning). There are no restrictions on double-counting lower-level prerequisites or requirements, if they exist for the minor program.
Please state in a letter of intent of no more than 500 words your aspirations pertaining to completing a Minor in Arts in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems, including how the Minor in Arts fits with your career goals. Please address your letter to the attention of LFS Student Services.
