Get Involved
The UBC Farm strives to be a vital component of the university and surrounding communities, by providing continuing outreach and education opportunities. There are currently several options for people wanting to get involved in what's happening down on the farm.
Donate
Donations made online will do directly towards supporting the UBC Farm's programs for learners of all ages.
(donation page opens in a new window. The form will be pre-filled with "LFS: UBC Farm" to ensure that any funds are directed to the farm)Visit our market
Every Saturday from June 4th to September 24th, from 9am to 1pm, we will hold our Farm Markets right here on the farm. Markets feature over 60 varieties of produce grown right on site, organic eggs from our free range chickens, and some processed organic goods from local producers.
Get UBC Farm Market Produce Updates via an email bulletin.
Volunteer
All of the work in our different program areas is made possible by the thousands of hours contributed by our volunteers and interns.
UBC Farm recruits volunteers on an ongoing basis. We encourage new volunteers to attend an orientation session, which we schedule throughout the year. Please e-mail us to find out when the next one will be held ubcfarm.volunteer@gmail.com
Start a project
The UBC Farm functions as an outdoor classroom and a living laboratory. The possibilities for research in a complex microcosm where an agro-ecosystem meets a growing community are endless, providing opportunities or insights into some of the most pressing issues facing humanity today.
For more information on starting a project at the farm, visit the project proposal page. If you are interested in the broad subject ideas that farm projects may cover, see our project menu.
